LIFE AFTER BOXING
After his boxing career drew to a close, Roger remained in Coventry, where he ran a number of pubs over the years.
Ran three pubs in Coventry, The White Bear, The Greyhound and The Coventry Cross.
In a strange twist, the venue of Roger's last professional fight, Tiffany's Ballroom, would become known as The Locarno Dance Hall, and Roger would also go on to work as a doorman here.
He also spent time as a doorman at The Silver Sword, which became Trinity's Bar and Nightclub.
DEATH
Died in June 2018, after suffering from Dementia for a few years.
