The Ring Record

Terms & Copyright

Last updated 2026

1. Ownership & copyright

The Ring Record and its underlying database — including the compilation, arrangement, ratings, editorial notes and original written content — are the copyright of The Ring Record (© 2026). The selection and arrangement of records is itself a protected compilation, even where individual historical facts are not.

2. Permitted use

You are welcome to browse, link to, cite and share pages for personal, educational and journalistic purposes, provided you credit The Ring Record and link back to the source page. Quoting a modest amount of text or a single record with attribution is fine.

3. Prohibited use

  • Automated scraping, crawling or bulk extraction of the data or any substantial part of it.
  • Copying, republishing or redistributing the database (or a substantial part) without written permission.
  • Using the content to train machine-learning or AI models without a licence.
  • Reselling, sublicensing or presenting the data as your own.

Access is provided for interactive human use. We apply rate-limiting and other technical measures to protect the archive, and we monitor for abnormal automated activity.

4. Licensing & data access

Interested in a bulk feed or a commercial licence? We'd rather say yes than chase takedowns. Please get in touch to discuss a data-access agreement or API licence.

5. Accuracy & corrections

Historical boxing records are compiled from many sources and may contain errors or gaps. The content is provided “as is” without warranty. Spotted a mistake? Corrections are very welcome.

6. Privacy & analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics that store no personal data and do not track you across sites. See the cookie preferences link in the footer for any optional cookies.

7. Enforcement

We reserve the right to block access, and to pursue takedowns and other remedies, where these terms are breached. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of these terms.
